Jeongbu SONG - Managing Partner

After passing the bar exam in 2001, Jeongbu SONG has accumulated various experiences since 2002, working at IP law firms, a KOSDAQ-listed IT company, and Seoul Business Agency.

As a patent attorney, he has handled domestic and international intellectual property application, litigation, and dispute cases. In addition, he has provided strategic ip consulting, technology transfer and commercialization consulting, and conducted various intellectual property education and lectures.

During his time at a mobile payment and content company, he served as the head of the legal team, and handled not only ip-related matters but also general legal affairs.

While working at Seoul Business Agency, he worked as a patent specialist consultant, providing diverse support in ip matters to startups and small and medium-sized enterprises based in Seoul.

He obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Seoul National University.
After years of experience as a patent attorney, he further pursued his studies in the field of intellectual property at both the graduate school of Seoul National University and Santa Clara University School of Law in the United States. Although he hasn't obtain LL.M. degree, he engaged in specialized coursework and research related to intellectual property during his academic pursuits at these institutions.

Hyejong HONG | Partner

Hyejong HONG majored in Pharmacy at Sookmyung Women's University. She has worked in a general hospital and the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety. After passing the bar, she gained diverse experience while working at a mid-sized ip firm.

With these experience, she then served as a staff member at the Korea Fair Trade Commission for a long period, where she performed various tasks related to intellectual property rights. She conducted legal reviews and took actions regarding the abuse of market dominance by patent holders and unfair trade practices.

During her tenure at the Korea Intellectual Property Office, she successfully played a role in improving regulations related to trade secret protection. During her time at the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, she was in charge of the approval of pharmaceuticals and medical devices.

With her diverse practical experience in patent-related matters and a deep understanding of legal issues surrounding intellectual property, she is committed to providing clients with the necessary intellectual property consulting services.

Naeyun Ha - Associate

Naeyoon HA majored in Chemistry and Nanoscience at Ewha Womans University. After passing the bar exam, she immediately started working at ip law firms, gaining diverse experience in intellectual property-related work.

She handles patent cases in the fields of chemistry, materials, biotechnology, and converging technologies at SONG & Associate IP Law. She possesses a high level of expertise in intellectual property matters related to various material chemistry fields, including semiconductor materials and polymer substances. She excels in patent analysis, both quantitative and qualitative, as well as intellectual property tasks related to technology in these areas.

She has been actively involved in analyzing IP portfolios for clients, including domestic and international patent and trademark filing work. She has also participated in the development of clients' R&D strategies based on intellectual property, taking a proactive role in IP portfolio analysis projects.
